St. Mark’s student ministry is an open, fun and safe space for students to be who they want to be. Our hope is students explore their faith and grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ and each other.
Sundays, 5:00 – 7:15 p.m.

SONlight Youth Choir
Young people in grades six through twelve can sing and serve Christ
in SONlight youth choir. The group sings in worship services once
a month. SONlight takes a one-week choir tour during the first week of
June to a destination such as Chicago, Charleston or St. Louis, where
they sing and serve in community missions.
Practices are held Sunday evenings during the school year at 4:00 p.m.
in the music room. No audition or music experience is necessary.
Christian education
Junior high, senior high and college-age classes offer year-round opportunities for young people to grow in faith. Each class is led by at least two adults.
Student classes
Missions, retreats and more
Students also enjoy learning about and serving God
through mission trips, retreats and recreational
activities throughout the year!
Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. – 1 Timothy 4:12 NRSV
Summer
Youth dive into summer with junior high and senior high mission trips to locations near and far. Summer Sizzler retreat at Beersheba Springs strengthens faith. Sunday morning and evening programs for youth continue throughout the summer.
For many youth, the experience of summer camp at Cedar Crest can be life changing. They meet God in community and worship with other campers, while also enjoying activities from swimming and canoeing to crafts and campfires. St. Mark’s provides partial scholarships to children of members because we know God will work in their lives through the camp experience.
College-age young people can connect with other believers through a series of growth, service and recreational activities coordinated just for them.
