Electronic funds transfer

How does the actual electronic transfer work?

After completing an authorization, gifts are transferred automatically from your checking or savings account to the St. Mark’s bank account. Your gifts are transferred through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network—the same network often used by families to make mortgage or utility payments, or to direct deposit payroll earnings or Social Security income. All account information is kept secured and confidential.

How can I sign up for EFT?

Complete the EFT authorization form, sign it and attach a voided checking or savings account deposit slip. Return these to St. Mark’s by mail or in the offering plate. All account information is kept secured and confidential.

How much does EFT cost?

It costs you nothing, and it costs the church very little. It is the lowest cost method of transferring funds.

How will I participate in the offering of gifts during worship?

The physical act of placing your gift to God in the offering plate is important. There are “I Give Electronically” cards located in the pews for you to put in the offering plate.

How will I know funds are transferred as I authorized?

Your bank statements give you an itemized list of electronic transfers. You will also continue to receive quarterly giving statements from St. Mark’s.

What if I need to change the amount of the withdrawal, the day of the month it occurs or the bank account? What if I try it and don’t like it?

You can easily change or cancel your EFT authorization by notifying the St. Mark’s business administrator.
