All churches must have some organizational body beyond paid staff to remain healthy and grow
into God’s call. In The United Methodist Church, that body is the church council, which includes
pastors, program staff and lay leaders. The council provides for envisioning, planning, implementing and evaluating the mission and ministry of St. Mark’s.
