Director
Sherrie oversees the day-to-day operations of the St. Mark’s Preschool and Parents’ Day Out program. She calls each child by name, takes time to listen and respond, and generously shares smiles and hugs to let children know she cares. She fosters a nurturing environment for children to grow. She says she is privileged to work alongside excellent staff and welcome the wonderful families who come through the doors daily.
Sherrie holds a bachelor’s degree in speech therapy with minors in special education and psychology from MTSU. She has more than 30 years experience in educational environments, including St. Mark’s Preschool and Parents’ Day Out, which she has directed since 1994. Sherrie is married to David and has two adult daughters and one grandchild. St. Mark’s UMC is her church home. Sherrie enjoys cooking, sewing, reading and, especially, spending time with family.
