Worship at St. Mark’s is fueled by one purpose: to focus wholly
and completely upon God. We strive to be a church in mission
with the world, bringing the light of Christ to a world in need and helping
create a place where people can serve in the spirit of our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. We believe that focusing upon God allows us to hear
and respond to the call that God has placed upon our lives. With
that in mind, we encourage you to step back from the clutter of life, examine
your relationship with God, and come to St. Mark’s for worship. At
St. Mark’s, we try to avoid labels directed toward worship—we would rather
you come and see for yourself what it means to come before God with singing,
prayer, and the written and spoken Word of God.
As a part of our United Methodist heritage, we don’t ask you to check
your mind at the door when you enter. If you are troubled and wondering
how to begin or renew your relationship with a loving God, we invite you
to come. If you feel alone and don’t know where to turn, we invite
you to come. If you want to celebrate the joy that life and a new
day brings, we invite you to come. If you like to think about your
faith and enjoy being challenged by the Holy Spirit to do more, act more,
and be a part of something bigger than yourself, we invite you to come.
No matter where you are in life, you are welcome.
The best part of the nature of God’s grace is that it has been given
freely to us. In worship, we give thanks to God for this gift, and
we witness and receive it through the sacraments of Holy Communion and
Christian Baptism. By focusing completely upon the abundance of life
and goodness that comes from God, we bring ourselves to a fuller relationship
with God that empowers us to lead our world in the pursuit of love, peace,
and joy.
We invite you to be a part of worship! Our services are on Sunday
mornings. See the worship schedule below for a list of times and
opportunities. If you have any questions or desire to be in further
discussion about worship, please contact Rev. Jackson Henry at (615) 893-3455,

Inclement Weather Policy
It is the intent of the St. Mark's community to provide an opportunity
for worship and ministry whenever possible, However, times may exist when
the severity of weather events may cause the leaders of the church to consider
the safety of all members and cancel worship and ministry activities.
Should such an event occur, the standard policy for cancellation rests
upon the decision made by the Murfreesboro City Schools. Should this
school system choose to cancel activities, ministries at St. Mark's will
also cancelled on that day.
Members are encouraged to check the home page of the church website
for specific cancellations - www.stmarkstn.org.
