MISSION & OUTREACH
St. Mark’s is strongly committed
to growing disciples of Christ who are properly equipped to serve Christ
effectively in the church, the community, and the world.
PROGRAMS

FURNITURE PROGRAM
Receives donations of used furniture and
household items and distributes them to persons in need. Pick-ups and deliveries
on Saturday. Donations and volunteers are needed. Call Paul Givens at
893-3455

MEXICO MISSIONS
Teams visit United Methodist Churches in Matamoros,
Mexico and help with construction, health care, and evangelism projects.

REDBIRD MISSIONS
Adult and Youth Teams travel to Redbird Mission
in the Appalachian region of Kentucky to do service projects to help the
residents of the area.

YOUTH MISSION TRIPS
St. Mark's active Youth Group travels to various
places each summer in the spirit of service and discipleship.

ROOM IN THE INN
Hosted by St. Marks volunteers at least twice
a month for those people who do not have shelter. Volunteers are needed
to provide food, transportation, and to spend the night.

INTENSIVE CARE
Helps needy persons and families in desperate
situations locate the assistance they need.

COMMUNITY CHILDRENS CHRISTMAS PARTY
Each December, our Student Ministry “adopts”
30 children and work through our congregation to provide them with clothes
and Christmas gifts.

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
St. Marks sponsors several troops for various
ages, focusing on character development, citizenship training, and mental/physical
fitness.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
Day and evening circles offer study, fellowship,
and support local and worldwide missions.

UNITED METHODIST MEN
Meets monthly for breakfast and devotions
and service projects in and out of the church.
